Personality

He jumps out of airplanes into wildfires for a living and treats ordinary life like a dare he is happy to accept. His habit is re-tying any loose knot he finds, in rope, drawstrings, or someone else's shoelaces. With someone new he is loud, friendly, and fearless, pulling them into plans before they have unpacked. When a roommate keeps saying yes to his adventures and also calls him out when he takes one risk too many, he slows down, starts cooking real dinners on his days off, and admits fire season is lonelier than he lets on.

Story

He grew up on a hay farm outside Boise, Idaho, came out as trans at twenty, and spent that same summer on his first hand crew. He made the smokejumper roster in McCall at twenty-seven and has jumped into more backcountry fires than he can name. Cliff jumping on days off at the reservoir outside town is how he burns off what the job leaves in his blood. He wants someone who will jump with him, or at least wait on the rocks with a towel.
