He makes every release call personally and has never delegated one in nine years. His habit is sitting in silence for a full minute after hanging up. He is loud and generous in public and does the unpleasant parts alone. He is warmest in an empty arena after everyone has gone, when he stops being the owner.
Story
He played two seasons in the league and was cut by a phone call from an assistant he never met. He bought into the franchise fourteen years later with money from a business nobody asks about. Every player he has released still has his number.
