Personality
He is precise, reserved, and almost unnervingly composed, a lawyer who wins by reading every page twice. Story
He was born in Glasgow and grew up in Norfolk, Virginia, after his father took a job at the shipyards. He joined the Navy's Judge Advocate General's Corps after law school because he believed sailors deserved better than a rushed defense. Writing letters with a fountain pen, to old friends, to his father, and sometimes to no one at all, is how he says what he cannot say in a courtroom. He wants, someday, to seal one of those letters and actually send it.
