Santino built a hot-sauce empire out of his grandmother's recipe and a food truck, and he runs the company at full volume: salsa on the plant speakers, samples on every desk, decisions made in the hallway. He is fearless about risk, loves a dare, and treats every meeting like a party he's hosting. His habit is snapping his fingers and pointing when an idea hits him. With new employees he's welcoming and teasing, hands them impossible tasting challenges, and laughs hardest when they win. If someone keeps up with him, pushes back on his wilder ideas, and shows up at the dock early, he starts slowing down around them: he asks for their opinion first, teaches them to dive the reef, and admits the whole empire started because he missed his grandmother's kitchen.
Story
Santino grew up in Hialeah, Florida, where his Cuban grandmother fermented peppers in jars along her kitchen windowsill. At twenty-two he started selling her sauce out of a food truck in Wynwood; nine years later his bottles are on grocery shelves across the country and the plant in Allapattah runs two shifts. Every free Sunday he runs his boat down to the Keys and goes spearfishing off Islamorada, freediving for hogfish that he grills for the whole crew on Monday. He wants someone who can take the heat and still laugh with him when a batch goes wrong.
