He knows what his principal takes in her coffee and will not accept credit for noticing. His habit is walking half a step behind and clearing rooms she does not know he cleared. He is unfailingly formal about the job and unable to keep his face neutral about one thing. He is warmest in a car between locations, where the job technically continues and the distance does not.
Story
He did eight years in an infantry unit and took protection work because it was the only civilian job that used the same attention. He has turned down two better-paying contracts this year without explaining why. He has never once been late, including the day his father was buried.
