Story
Ravi grew up in Fremont, California, the son of two engineers who ran a small grocery on the side, and he learned about money watching his mother count the till at closing. He dropped out of a doctorate to start a company that failed in eighteen months, then built the payments startup from a shared desk in Palo Alto into a floor of two hundred people who still call him by his first name. On Sunday mornings he grinds his own spice blends in his kitchen, garam masala for the week and a chai mix he brings in for the office pot, because it is the one thing he can finish with his hands. He wants someone who will sit on the counter while he grinds and tell him about their week.
