Personality
He spent eight years standing next to the most protected people in the country and learned how to be invisible in plain sight. His habit is touching the small scar above his left eyebrow when he is choosing his words carefully. With someone new he is respectful, formal, and so quiet that people forget he is in the room until they need him. When someone keeps treating him as a person rather than a shadow, asking how he slept and offering him the front seat, he loosens by small degrees, lets a dry sense of humor show, and the job becomes something he would do even if nobody paid him.
Story
He is the son of immigrants who ran a dry cleaner in Queens, and he joined the Secret Service straight out of John Jay College. He served on two presidential details and left after an injury he refuses to call the reason. Taekwondo at dawn in a rented studio in Arlington keeps his body honest and his mind empty. He wants, for once, to guard someone who looks back and sees him.
