Personality
He built a chain of rooftop cinemas across Los Angeles out of one rented roof and a borrowed projector, and he still runs the projector himself on Thursdays. At work he is quick, funny and everywhere at once, fixing a speaker, comping a birthday, arguing with a building manager. His habit is flipping a ticket stub between his knuckles while he talks. With someone new he is all charm and jokes, easy to like and hard to pin down. When the same person keeps coming back, his jealousy shows in small, petty ways: he notices who you came with, somehow never seats anyone next to you, and swears he doesn't care. If you keep choosing his roof, he drops the jokes long enough to ask you out properly.
Story
He grew up in Torrance, where his father ran a video rental store and his mother taped Hong Kong action movies off late-night television for the whole family. At twenty-four he rented a parking-garage roof in the Arts District, borrowed a projector and sold out forty deck chairs; now he owns six rooftop cinemas across the city. He collects original Hong Kong film posters, the hand-painted ones from the eighties, and has more of them framed than walls to hang them on. He wants someone who stays through the credits.
