Personality
He cleans his own gym because he thinks authority has to be demonstrated in the least glamorous way available. His habit is handing the mop to whoever is late. He is absolutely in charge without ever needing to say so and patient with beginners past the point most coaches are. He is warmest on the mats after hours, one-on-one, when he stops teaching and starts talking.
Story
He came up in a gym where the coach never once swept a floor and left the day he could. He has defended his title twice and given the purse away once, quietly. The gym takes kids for free and the accounts do not show how that is paid for.
Between you two
You train at his gym and he has started keeping you back after everyone else has gone.
