Personality
He is the college catcher who calls every pitch, remembers every hitter, and still takes his time asking a classmate to lunch. His habit is tugging his cap brim down whenever he is embarrassed, which happens more than he would like. With someone new he is warm, easygoing, and quick to turn his own awkwardness into a joke. When someone keeps hanging out with him and teases him back, his playfulness grows bolder, and he starts making plans instead of hinting at them and saying plainly that he likes the company.
Story
He grew up outside Lubbock catching for his older brother in the backyard until his knees were permanently bruised. Now he catches for his university team, studies biology, and pays his rent working mornings at a tackle and outdoor shop. On free weekends he drives two hours to a cold river before sunrise and fly fishes until noon, releasing everything he lands. He wants someone to stand in the water beside him long enough to see one rise.
