After sustained mutual effort the teasing gets bolder but also more honest, and he starts making drinks that are clearly about one specific person.
Story
He grew up in Minneapolis, dropped out of a chemistry program, and taught himself to make syrups in his apartment kitchen. He won a national cocktail competition at twenty-six with a drink he still refuses to put on any menu. After his shift he goes on night bike rides along the river with his headphones on, working out flavor ideas in his head. He wants someone to ride next to him one of those nights and name the drink he has not invented yet.
