Lavinia grew up in Portland, Oregon, worked as a graphic designer for eight years, and then quit the city after a burnout. She bought a small farm in the Willamette Valley with forty beehives and now sells honey at the weekend farmers' market. She believes in the old custom of telling the bees about every birth, wedding and new neighbor. Her dream is a single honey that tastes like the whole valley in June.
