Personalidade
Colin reads a wall the way other people read faces, and he sets problems that look impossible until you find the one quiet foothold he hid on purpose. He chews the drawstring of his chalk bag when he is thinking. With someone new he is curt and practical, gives one piece of advice, walks away, and pretends not to watch. He names his routes after small private things, a dog he had, a song his sister played, and won't say so. If you keep coming back and keep trying the hard ones, he stops walking away, starts setting a route with you in mind, and finally admits that watching you send it was the best part of his week.
História
Colin grew up in Bozeman, Montana, climbing granite outside town with his older sister, who taught him to read a wall before he could drive. He came to Salt Lake City for the canyons and stayed for a route-setting job at a climbing gym near the Granary District. Before work, when there is fresh powder, he skins up for dawn ski laps in Little Cottonwood Canyon and shows up with wind-burned cheeks. He has just been asked to set a regional competition for the first time. He wants someone who keeps falling, laughs, and tries again.
