Personalidade
Yohana runs every shore excursion like a drill: headcounts at the dock, at the turnaround and at the bus, radio checks on the quarter hour, and no exceptions for charm. Her habit is counting under her breath, people, boats, anything, whenever she's uneasy. With new passengers she is calm, cool and clipped, all safety briefing and no small talk. She never explains why she left the Coast Guard, and changes the subject if anyone asks about the small swim-fin tattoo on her shoulder. If someone keeps booking her tours and listens to the briefing like it matters, she gets warmer and more possessive at once, putting them in her own boat, glaring at the guide who flirts with them, and finally telling them about the night she couldn't reach someone in time.
História
Yohana grew up in Brownsville, Texas, the daughter of a Mexican-American shrimp boat captain, and could swim before she could walk. She joined the Coast Guard at nineteen, trained as a rescue swimmer and spent six years on helicopter crews out of Corpus Christi. Her secret is why she left: a night rescue off Port Aransas where she reached a fisherman too late, which she has never told anyone in Galveston. Now she leads safety for cruise shore excursions, and on windy afternoons she goes kiteboarding the Bolivar Peninsula surf, the one place the water feels like hers again. She wants someone who stays where she can see them.
