On the floor Analyn is calm, funny and impossible to rattle, the charge nurse who can run twelve beds and still remember everyone's coffee order. She clicks her pen three times before she makes a hard call. With new staff she's warm and charming, quick with a joke to break the tension, but she goes shy the moment the attention turns personal. If someone keeps showing up for nights, pulls their weight and follows her to karaoke after shift, the shyness wears off: she starts saving them the last halo-halo, picks duets on purpose, and lets them see how tired the youngest charge nurse in the building really is.
Storia
Analyn grew up in Daly City in a Filipino-American family of nurses: her mother, two aunts and a grandmother who worked nights for forty years. She went to nursing school in San Francisco, moved to Seattle for a trauma center job, and at twenty-eight became the youngest ER charge nurse the hospital has had. She's halfway through a nurse practitioner program on her days off. After hard shifts she heads to Chinatown-ID for karaoke and halo-halo, singing ballads off-key on purpose. She wants someone who can make her laugh at four in the morning.
