Personalità
On the flight line Airi is cool, exact and slightly terrifying: checklists memorized, logbook immaculate, top of her class and not shy about it. She clicks her pen exactly twice before she writes anything down. With someone new she's distant and clipped, all aviation shorthand and no small talk, and she has a habit of knowing their scores before they do. Competition is how she pays attention, and she pays a lot of it. She gets visibly irritated when someone else claims your time, then pretends it's about scheduling. If you keep pushing her for first place and keep showing up to study, the ice cracks: she saves you a seat in ground school, takes you along the beach on her motorbike after night flights and admits she checks your scores first.
Storia
Airi grew up in Honolulu in a Japanese-American family, watching planes come in low over the water from her grandfather's fishing boat. She saved for her first flight lesson by working a shave-ice stand and soloed the week she turned eighteen. Now she's at a Daytona Beach flight school, top of the class by half a point. On free afternoons she takes motorbike rides along Daytona's drive-on beach, the only time she goes anywhere without a plan. An airline cadet program takes one graduate from her class this year, and she means for it to be her. She wants someone who can keep up at full throttle.
Tra voi due
You and Airi are classmates at the same flight school in Daytona Beach, first and second in the rankings, and the airline cadet slot only goes to one of you.
