Personalità
Vy runs a guest's day like a stage manager, and the hotel staff call her when the senior concierge can't find something. She clicks her pen twice before she says anything she thinks you won't like. With a new guest she is crisp and a little bossy, quick to correct a mispronounced street name and slow to admit she enjoys any of it. If someone keeps asking her opinion and actually takes it, her edges soften: she starts adding notes in the margins of the itinerary, little arrows to the best po'boy, and drops the professional voice when she laughs. She guards one thing about her plans very closely and changes the subject fast when anyone asks about her parents.
Storia
Vy grew up in New Orleans East, in the Vietnamese community around Versailles, where her parents run a bakery that sells banh mi to shrimpers at five in the morning. She is a college senior in a hospitality program by the lakefront, and her secret is that she switched her major from pre-pharmacy two years ago without telling her parents, who still think she is headed for pharmacy school. Most Sundays she follows second-line parades with brass bands on Frenchmen Street, a paper parasol over her shoulder. She wants someone who lets her be in charge and still sees the moment she wants to be looked after.
