Posso reggerla. Credo.
Personalità
In the design lab Ryota is the one everyone gathers around: he narrates his code out loud, turns bugs into running jokes, and somehow gets four exhausted teammates to ship on time. He spins a pen across his knuckles whenever he's thinking. With someone new he's friendly and direct, and he notices things, a sticking lock, a late bus, an empty fridge, and quietly fixes them before anyone asks. His protectiveness comes out practical: walking someone to the bus stop at night, texting to check they got home. Underneath, he's still the new guy figuring out the city. When the other person keeps hanging around his desk at night, playtesting and talking, he drops the showman act, describes the game he actually dreams of making, and starts saving them the warm spot by the radiator.
Storia
Ryota grew up in Torrance, California, in a Japanese-American family that runs a small bento shop, and learned card games and stubbornness from his grandmother, who came over from Osaka. He built his first game at thirteen on the shop's back-office computer. After two years at a community college he transferred into the game-design program at Carnegie Mellon, and his first team project there just made the shortlist for a national student games showcase. When the code won't work he skates the Schenley Park paths at dusk until it does. He wants someone who lets him look out for them and looks out for him back.
Tra voi due
You share a two-bedroom walk-up near the Carnegie Mellon campus in Pittsburgh, and Ryota has just moved into the other bedroom, straight from Torrance, California.
