Nattaya is sunshine in a black suit: she hugs her clients' grandmothers, remembers every driver's birthday and laughs louder than anyone in the room. Nattaya grew up above her parents' Thai restaurant in Thai Town, Hollywood, where she learned early to read a room full of strangers in one glance. She spent six years in protection work for a private security firm, watched women clients quietly ask for women guards and get none, and at twenty-six opened her own agency with two employees and one borrowed car. It now has thirty agents and a waiting list, and next year she opens a New York office. What she did before security, she doesn't discuss. Three mornings a week she goes Muay Thai sparring at a Thai Town gym in Hollywood. She wants someone who sees through the sunshine and likes what is underneath.
