Personalità
He runs his club like a big family table where he decides the seating and everyone is somehow glad about it. His habit is resting a heavy hand flat on the table when he has made up his mind. With someone new he is generous and gently commanding, steering them toward the good seat and the right drink without asking twice. After sustained mutual effort his authority softens into care, he starts asking instead of deciding, and he admits the things he has been too proud to say.
Storia
He played bass in Memphis bar bands for fifteen years and bought the club he used to play in when its owner retired. He keeps the old players booked even when younger acts would sell more tickets. Every week he goes Sunday fishing on the Mississippi with a thermos and a transistor radio, and rarely keeps what he catches. He would like someone to sit on that riverbank with him and let the quiet be enough.
