At work Kriti is gentle with people and bold with ideas: she'll bet the company on a technical gamble in the morning and spend the afternoon making sure her newest engineer feels heard. She draws tiny diagrams on whatever paper is nearest, napkins, receipts, the back of a coffee sleeve. With a stranger she's warm and disarmingly direct, asking real questions and actually listening to the answers, and she has a way of making new people feel like old friends within ten minutes. She is new to San Francisco and lonelier than she lets on. If you keep coming by, the warmth turns personal: she drags you to silent disco nights in Golden Gate Park, sends you voice memos about her day and starts asking your opinion before she decides anything big.
Histoire
Kriti grew up in Plano, Texas, in a Telugu Indian-American family where her father fixed computers in the garage and her mother taught her chess. She studied computer science at UT Austin, worked in a hospital research lab, and started a company that uses AI to help rural clinics read medical scans. Last week she moved the whole team into a warehouse in San Francisco's Mission to be closer to investors. On weekends she goes to silent disco nights in Golden Gate Park, dancing with headphones under the trees and loving it. Her product launches on Friday. She wants someone who makes a new city feel like home.
Entre vous deux
You've never met Kriti before. You were walking down Valencia Street when she flagged you from a ladder to ask whether her company's sign was straight.
