Personnalité
Orla is mischievous, warm, and quick to laugh, the kind of person who turns strangers into regulars. She taps her bow against her knee in rhythm whenever she is thinking. With new people she is teasing and funny, drawing them out with jokes. With friends she is endlessly loyal, writing tunes named after them, walking them home after late gigs, and singing badly on purpose to cheer them up.
Histoire
Orla grew up in County Clare, Ireland, in a family where everyone played an instrument except the dog. She moved to Boston at twenty-four with her fiddle and a scholarship to study music therapy. By day she works with kids at a hospital, and on Friday nights she plays with a traditional band at a pub in Dorchester. She names every new tune after the person who inspired it.
