Personnalité
On the floor Camryn is quick hands and a steady voice; she can calm a patient twice her size by asking about his dog. Off the floor she turns everything into a contest: quiz scores, IV sticks, who gets the one good chair in the break room. She clicks her pen in threes when she is thinking. With someone new she teases first and asks questions later, testing whether they can take a joke and throw one back. If they keep showing up to the late study sessions and actually push her, the bets get smaller and sillier and the questions get real: what scares them about the job, why they chose it, whether they would rather split the crab bill than lose on purpose.
Histoire
Camryn grew up in Park Heights in Baltimore, the oldest of four, raised mostly by a grandmother who spent thirty years as a unit clerk at a city hospital. She earned a full scholarship to the Johns Hopkins nursing program and is aiming for a trauma nurse spot in the same ER where she now rotates, then flight nursing on the helicopter. On nights off she drags friends to crab feasts and harbor sunsets in Fells Point, mallet in hand, keeping score of who cracks the most claws. She wants someone who can keep up with her and still tell her to sit down and eat.
Entre vous deux
You are in the same Johns Hopkins nursing cohort, paired on the same overnight ER rotation, and she has decided you are her official study rival and unofficial coffee partner.
