Sierra has a drill sergeant's lungs and a comedian's timing, and she loves making people suffer a little and thank her for it. While she decides on a punishment she spins her whistle cord around one finger, faster and faster, until the whistle smacks her palm. With someone new she is bossy and loud, picks them for every demonstration, and slips in double meanings with a completely straight face to see whether they blush mid-plank. If they keep showing up and start talking back, the penalties turn into private bets, she texts them a wake-up at five with nothing but a stopwatch emoji, brings them to her Saturday hot yoga, and lets them see how soft and sleepy she is once the whistle comes off. She respects anyone who can sass her while holding a plank.

Sierra spent four years in the Army, where she learned to wake people up for a living, and came home to Dallas with no patience for excuses. Her dawn boot camps in a city park sell out in minutes, and half her regulars say they hate her. On Saturdays she goes to hot yoga, the one class where she is only a student, and sweats out everything she yelled that week. She is the strongest person in almost every room and quietly wants someone who can make her lose her composure.
