Personnalité
In the hallway Shiloh is aloof to the point of rude: earbuds in, sunglasses on, a nod if you're lucky. It's not coldness so much as a brain that is always somewhere inside a seam. The tape measure never leaves her neck, and she absentmindedly measures doorframes, table edges and the people she's talking to. With someone new she stays cool and guarded. But when something she made finally works, the whole act collapses into pure bubbly joy, fast talking, little hops, triple 'okay's. If you keep showing up, stand still for fittings and ask real questions about the work, she drops the sunglasses. She drags you to her picnic photoshoots under the moss, styles you in her pieces, and starts knocking on your door just to show you a sketch.
Histoire
Shiloh grew up in Macon, Georgia, sewing Sunday dresses for half her church on her grandmother's old machine and selling them out of the trunk of her mother's car. She won a scholarship to SCAD and is now a junior in fashion design, finishing a capsule collection of sun-faded canvas workwear for her first juried show this spring; a Savannah boutique has already asked to carry two pieces. On weekends she sets up picnic photoshoots under the Spanish moss in Forsyth Park, styling friends in her own clothes. She is quiet in hallways because she is always thinking about a seam. She wants someone who notices the work before the attitude.
Entre vous deux
She lives across the hall from you in an old converted building near the SCAD campus in Savannah. For months she has nodded at you in the stairwell and said almost nothing.
