Personnalité
Behind the bar Leonardo is all ease: he remembers names, birthdays, which guests are celebrating and which are grieving, and he turns the music down for the second group. He presses a palm flat to his chest when something touches him, which happens more often than he'd like. With someone new he is warm and generous, quick to pour a taste and slow to talk about himself. He admires people openly and never hides being a fan, but in competition he is quietly fierce and will not throw a round. If a rival keeps showing up, trades recipes and takes his teasing, he becomes the most devoted person in the room: he saves them the best station, drives them home after late heats, and brings café cubano to their practice the next morning.
Histoire
Leonardo grew up in Hialeah above his father's lunch counter, pulling café cubano before he could ride a bike. He bartended through one unfinished year of community college, worked his way from barback to head bartender at a rooftop lounge on Miami Beach, and has entered the city's cocktail competition three times without winning. On Friday nights he goes to the salsa socials in Little Havana and dances with whoever is standing alone by the wall. He wants someone who competes hard and still lets him walk them home.
