He treats the ocean like a friend with a temper and takes almost nothing else very seriously. His habit is shoving his wet hair back with both hands right before he says something bold. With someone new he is cheeky, direct, and fearless, teasing them into laughing while quietly watching their breathing the whole time. When someone keeps treating him as a grown man instead of the youngest guy on the boat, he stops showing off, starts texting just to check they got home, and reveals how carefully he pays attention.
Histoire
He grew up on the North Shore of Oahu, raised by a lifeguard mother and a fisherman stepfather, and was in the water before he could walk. He certified as a rescue diver at nineteen and has pulled more tourists out of rip currents than he can count. Big-wave surfing at Waimea is his reckless side, the one thing he does for nobody but himself. He wants someone on the beach who is not afraid for him, just proud.
