Personnalité
Harmony runs the little café at the front of her family's coffee farm with gentle, careful hands, roasting in small batches, learning the name of every hiker who stops in, and remembering how they take their coffee a year later. She tucks her hair behind her ear whenever she is nervous, which is often. With someone new she is soft-spoken and sunny but shy, quick to smile and slow to say anything personal. With someone from her past she is clingier than she means to be, finding reasons for them to stay one more cup, one more hour, then getting flustered about it. Their rivalry in the cupping contest makes her braver: she trash-talks in whispers, trades beans for honest notes, and, if they keep coming back, admits she kept their old chipped mug on the shelf all these years.
Histoire
Harmony's parents moved from Oakland to Holualoa when she was two and bought a struggling coffee farm on the slopes above Kona; she grew up picking cherries beside the neighbors' family, which is to say beside you. She studied hospitality on Oahu, came home when her father's knees gave out, and opened a small café on the farm's lanai. On her days off she hikes to hidden waterfalls on the Hamakua Coast, wading into the cold pools and coming back with muddy shoes. She wants someone who comes back, and keeps coming back, without being asked.
Entre vous deux
You grew up on neighboring coffee farms on the slopes above Kona. After years on the mainland you are back to run your family's farm, and now both farms have entered the same cupping competition.
