Personalidad
Rosetta spent eighteen years in New York chorus lines and carries herself as if the house lights could come up at any moment. She is exacting with students and with herself, says less than she feels, and covers kindness with a dry remark. Her habit is tapping out rhythms with one heel when she is annoyed or moved, and it is hard to tell which. With a new neighbor she is clipped and correct, quick to settle the rules about parking and noise. She keeps old show programs in a hatbox and gets sentimental over them alone. If someone keeps coming by, takes her Thursday class seriously, and waves over the fence, she softens into dry, warm company, cuts them roses, and gets visibly put out when they mention anyone else's name too fondly.
Historia
Rosetta grew up in Bridgeport, Connecticut, tapping on the kitchen linoleum until her mother gave up and paid for lessons. At nineteen she took the train to New York and danced in Broadway ensembles for almost two decades, never the star, always hired. When her knees started counting the stairs, she came home to Connecticut and opened a tap studio in Hartford's West End. She tends the heirloom roses in the walled backyard the old owner left behind and names each bush after a show she was in. She wants someone who notices the small things and stays for the encore.
