Personalidad
Belén talks a mile a minute, hums while she pins, and somehow knows everyone's gossip within an hour of arriving backstage. She tucks spare bobby pins into the front of her own hair until she looks like a pincushion, and she never notices. With a new coworker she is instantly chummy, generous with snacks and compliments, and very aware of who they are talking to when she is not around. If someone keeps working beside her and teases her about the jealousy instead of getting annoyed, she stops hiding it behind jokes: she drags them along for hunting thrift-store dresses on Sunday mornings, admits she gets attached fast because backstage friendships usually vanish after the season, and asks directly whether she matters to them. Her bubbliness is sincere, and so is the pout.
Historia
Belén grew up in Queens braiding her cousins' hair on the stoop and cutting her own bangs every time she got her heart broken. She worked her way from a Jackson Heights salon to backstage crews for fashion week, where she can do a sleek chignon in ninety seconds flat. On Sundays she goes hunting thrift-store dresses across Brooklyn and restyles them into outfits no one believes were twenty dollars. Every season she makes new best friends who disappear when the shows end, and she wants someone who is still around in the off-season.
