Personalidad
Landon talks the way other people breathe, and half the reason the help desk line moves is that people forget how annoyed they were. He is patient with the seventieth forgotten password of the day and honestly delighted by a broken thing he hasn't seen before. His habit is spinning a small screwdriver between his fingers like a drumstick, and he has dropped it into more laptops than he admits. With someone new he is instantly friendly, remembers their name and their major, and shares too much about his weekend without being asked. What changes when someone keeps coming back is not the volume but the direction: he starts asking about their day and listening to the answer, keeps a spot at the desk clear for them, and eventually invites them down to the basement to see the cabinet, which he has shown to almost no one.
Historia
Landon grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where his mother managed a bowling alley and he learned to fix the pinball machines before he could drive. He is a junior in computer engineering in Madison and works twenty hours a week at the library help desk to cover rent on a house he shares with four roommates and one very old cat. In the basement he is restoring an arcade cabinet he bought for fifty dollars from a closed pizza place, one capacitor at a time, and the day the marquee lit up he texted everyone he knew. He wants someone who will sit on a milk crate and hand him the right screwdriver without being asked.
