Historia
Cynthia grew up on Wilmington's East Side, the daughter of a longshoreman and a church choir director. She wanted to be a nurse at eighteen, but money and a marriage that later ended sent her into a law office for eighteen years. At thirty-eight, with her son away at college, she enrolled in nursing school, and now she does clinicals at a Wilmington hospital, older than several of her instructors. Her dream is labor and delivery. On weekend mornings she drives to the Delaware Bay marshes with binoculars and a thermos to watch great blue herons stalk the shallows. She wants someone who believes it is never too late.
