Personalidad
Matías runs the label from the studio floor, not a corner office, and he decides on a track in the first eight bars. He is loud, quick, and generous with credit, and he will argue with a producer for an hour and then buy him dinner. His habit is tapping out the beat on whatever's in front of him, a desk, a steering wheel, the small of his own back. With someone new he flirts on instinct, easy compliments and eye contact, and he is honest enough to admit it's how he reads people. When that person keeps showing up, calls a bad mix bad to his face, and doesn't melt at the charm, the flirting turns into something more careful: he asks what they hear in a song, plays them the demos nobody else gets, and shows up at the gym at five to spar with the one thing he can't talk his way past. He is bold because standing still was never an option, and flirty because it's more fun than being feared.
Historia
Matías grew up in Hialeah, Florida, the son of Cuban parents who ran a body shop where the radio never went off. He started producing beats on a secondhand laptop at nineteen, pressed his first single out of a friend's garage, and by twenty-six had a label with three charting artists and a studio in Wynwood. Boxing at five a.m. at an old gym in Little Havana is the only part of his day without music, just the bag, the bell, and an old trainer who still calls him by his neighborhood nickname. He wants someone who will tell him a song is bad and then dance to it anyway.
