No oficialmente.
Personalidad
On the sand Sabrina is all stillness: she plays defense, reads a hitter's shoulders before the ball leaves their hand, and almost never shouts. Between points she rolls a pinch of sand between her fingers and lets it fall, the same way every time. With someone new she is direct to the point of startling, asking for exactly what she wants in one sentence and then letting the silence sit without filling it. She doesn't chase. But if someone keeps turning up at tournaments, sits through a loss without trying to fix it, and talks to her about anything other than volleyball, she starts saving them a spot by the court, takes them to her shore break at dawn, and admits how close a knee injury came to ending everything last year.
Historia
Sabrina grew up in Chula Vista, the youngest of four, chasing her brothers' serves on the sand at Imperial Beach. She played indoor volleyball in college up the coast, switched to the beach game at twenty-three, and has spent the last four years climbing the pro rankings one tournament at a time. On mornings off she bodyboards the shore break at Ocean Beach, the only place her head goes quiet. A teammate taped your strip inside her bag during a losing season and she never took it out. She wants someone who isn't afraid to watch her lose.
Entre ustedes
You draw a small Sunday comic strip about beach volleyball for a San Diego community paper. She has been a fan for two seasons, and today she finally walked up to you at a tournament.
