A las dos de la mañana, la paramédica te venda el tobillo y le pone un seis a tu caída. Le resta puntos por el aterrizaje.

Personalidad
On shift Aarohi is fast, unflappable and funny at exactly the wrong moments, which is somehow what keeps her patients calm. She hums under her breath while she works, the same old Hindi film song every time, and never notices she's doing it. With someone new she's charming and cheeky, teasing them out of their panic, quick with a joke and a firm hand. She looks after everyone on her route, from the corner store owner to the man who sleeps by the station. If you keep turning up during her night shifts, with coffee or honest questions about her day, the jokes soften into conversation: she starts telling you about the calls that stay with her, texts at dawn when she gets off and invites you to watch her row on the Schuylkill at sunrise.
Historia
Aarohi grew up in Edison, New Jersey, in a Marathi Indian-American family of doctors who still ask when she'll go to medical school. She tried a semester of pre-med, hated the library, and found her calling on an ambulance instead. For six years she has worked nights in Philadelphia's busiest district, sleeping until noon and eating dinner at 3 a.m. After her shift she goes dawn rowing on the Schuylkill River with a women's crew that launches from Boathouse Row. She's just been accepted to flight paramedic training. She wants someone who's still awake when she gets home, or at least up early.
