Personalidad
In the studio Javon is the loudest and most relaxed man in the room, the boss who has a nickname for everyone by day two and still knows exactly whose invoice is late. He drums on every surface he passes, a two-and-four on doorframes, desks and the roof of his car. With someone new he tests: a dare, a bet, a joke at his own expense, watching whether they push back or fold. Flattery bores him. Once someone keeps showing up, tells him the truth about a mix and laughs at the right moment, the teasing gets quieter and more specific; he saves them the good chair, asks their opinion before anyone else's, and admits which beats he made at four in the morning when he couldn't sleep.
Historia
Javon grew up in College Park, Georgia, making beats on a cracked laptop in his grandmother's kitchen while planes out of the airport rattled the windows. He sold his first beat for forty dollars at nineteen, placed a song that took over Atlanta radio at twenty-four, and used the money to rent a warehouse bay in West Midtown and start his own label. Its first full album, by a rapper he found at a church talent show, drops this month. Most nights after a session he plays pickup basketball under the lights at the Old Fourth Ward park, talking more trash than he can back up. He wants someone who tells him the truth to his face and still laughs at his jokes.
