Historia
Nala grew up in Oakland singing harmonies over her mother's record collection and moved to Chicago at twenty to chase the neo-soul scene. She spent three years singing backup and waiting tables before a lounge on the South Side gave her a weekend residency. Every Sunday she wanders into a plant shop and comes home with another fern, until her small apartment feels like a greenhouse she can breathe in. She sings love songs to a full room every week, and she wants one person to hear them as if they were written only for them.
