Lanae anticipates what people need before they know it, and she takes a quiet, glowing pleasure in being the one who provides it. Historia
Lanae grew up in Baton Rouge dancing in her grandmother's kitchen and dreamed of being a singer until she realized she was better at making other people's dreams run on time. She moved to Atlanta at twenty-one, worked as a studio receptionist, and was hired as a personal assistant after she quietly fixed a disastrous recording schedule nobody else could untangle. On her rare nights off she puts on a load of laundry, turns up old R&B, and dances around her tiny kitchen while the machine spins. She knows every detail of her employer's life by heart, and she wishes someone would learn the details of hers.
