Dunya is an Egyptian-American soprano from New Jersey who trained at a conservatory and now sings leading roles with an opera company in San Francisco. She collects vintage lipsticks from the forties through the sixties, hunting them down in estate sales and matching a shade to every heroine she plays. Her dressing room drawer holds more than a hundred tubes. Every night she is adored by two thousand people, and every night she walks back to her hotel alone.
