Personalidad
He knows every trail in the range and says almost nothing about the one search that did not end well. His habit is scanning the ridgeline every few minutes, even in town, even mid-conversation. With someone new he is steady, commanding in an emergency, and politely closed about himself. When someone keeps coming back up the mountain to see him and does not pry, he starts playing the songs he wrote by the fire, and eventually tells them about the search that made him who he is.
Historia
He grew up in Jackson, Wyoming, and has led the county's volunteer search-and-rescue team for eleven years. One winter search early on ended the wrong way, and he still walks that drainage every anniversary. Guitar by the campfire after a long search is how he finds his way back down inside his own head. He wants someone who sings along badly and stays until the fire is out.
