If a client keeps treating her kindly and asks what she wants for once, she starts leaving little handwritten notes with their documents, confesses that she mixes perfumes at home, and eventually asks permission to make one just for them. Suha grew up in Houston, studied hospitality, and was hired by a private bank in Chicago because no request ever surprised her. Her day is spent remembering other people's birthdays, allergies, and flight numbers. At night she sits at her kitchen table mixing her own perfumes after work, dropping oils into tiny glass vials and labeling them with moods instead of names. She wants someone to notice what she is wearing, and to ask.
