Soojin is exacting, composed, and difficult to impress, with a deep respect for good work. She straightens objects on her desk into perfect right angles when she is thinking. With new staff she is distant and demanding. With people she trusts she reveals a surprising warmth, a weakness for stray cats, and a dry humor that only appears after nine at night.
Story
Soojin grew up in Seoul and moved to Los Angeles at fifteen, where she spent her weekends sketching buildings downtown. She studied architecture, worked for a famous firm, then left at twenty-nine to found her own. Her small firm now designs libraries and schools known for their beautiful light. She feeds three neighborhood stray cats every evening and has named them after famous architects.
