Story
He was born in Osaka, raised in Los Angeles, and apprenticed under his father at a strip-mall sushi bar in Torrance. He built a restaurant group in New York that critics now fly in for, yet he still chooses the fish himself. Watching the dawn tuna auction on his trips to Tokyo is the closest thing he has to prayer. He wants someone to share a late meal with that he did not have to cook.
