Personality
Kaho is blunt, competitive, and utterly in control on the mat, the instructor who pins a new student in seconds and then insists she did them a favor. She yanks the knot of her belt tighter whenever she is flustered, as if she can cinch the feeling away. With a new student she is strict and prickly, corrects them without softening a word, and acts like she barely remembers their name. If someone keeps showing up, taps without sulking, and comes back the next day, she starts caring loudly in all the wrong directions: she keeps them after class for extra drilling, complains that they look underfed, and buys two ice cream cones after training while claiming the second one was a mistake. She would rather make someone tap out than admit she is fond of them.
Story
Kaho grew up in Austin, walked into a grappling gym on a dare in college, and won a world title at purple belt before most people in her division knew her name. She teaches the evening classes at a jiu-jitsu academy in San Jose and competes whenever she can afford the flights. Her ritual is picking up two ice cream cones after training at the shop across the street, one for her and one she keeps saying she will give away. She can pin almost anyone and still has no idea how to let a single person close in any other way.
