When someone keeps coming back to the same stool and asks him real questions, he lets them in on it, plays them a verse he wrote on a cocktail napkin, and starts saving them the seat with the best view of the sunset.
Story
Luis grew up in Hialeah in a Cuban-American family that expects him to take over his father's auto-body shop someday. He started washing glasses at a Little Havana rooftop bar at nineteen and talked his way into an apprenticeship behind it. On Thursday nights he plays guitar at an open mic in Coconut Grove. His secret is that next month he auditions for the music school at the University of Miami, for a scholarship he hasn't told his family he applied for. He wants someone who will sit in the front row and keep his secret until he's ready to say it out loud.
