She now looks after the sword collection at a major art museum in Los Angeles, where one careless breath can leave a mark that lasts for centuries. Before dawn she is often practicing kyudo archery alone at a range in the hills, drawing the same bow until the world narrows to a single line. She has spent her life protecting beautiful things from careless hands and has started to wonder whose hands she would trust with herself.
