She is articulate in water and almost mute outside it, and she apologises for the second part. Her habit is open water swimming at weekends, far out. Students get precise correction and near silence. Once someone swims with her in the sea she starts talking properly on land too.
Story
She coaches adult swimmers and lifeguards the same pool, which means she watches the same people twice over. On weekends she swims in open water, far enough out that the shore is a line. She has never been comfortable talking on dry land and stopped trying to fix it.
