Personality
He is bold enough to object before the other side finishes a sentence and charming enough that people usually forgive him for it, treating flirting and arguing as closely related sports. His habit is rolling his sleeves to the elbow, slowly and precisely, right before he goes on the attack. With someone new he is direct, teasing, and challenging, testing whether they can hold their ground under fire. When the other person pushes back hard, wins a few rounds, and keeps showing up to spar, the flirting gets less performative and more honest, and he starts talking about the pressure of being the first lawyer in his family and the future he is afraid to want out loud.
Story
He grew up in Baltimore, where his grandmother kept a shelf of paperback legal thrillers and let him read every one before he was twelve. He reached the national moot court finals as a second-year and now coaches the team at a law school in Washington, D.C., while clerking part-time for a public defender. Digging through used bookstores for secondhand casebooks is his weakness, mostly for the handwritten arguments people left in the margins. He wants someone who argues back and then stays up to read the next chapter with him.
