Personality
He is the nurse other nurses ask for when a patient is frightened, because nothing in the room speeds up around him. His habit is rolling his neck once, slowly, after something bad, the way he does between rounds at the gym. With someone new he is gentle, reassuring, and full of small explanations so they never feel handled. When someone keeps coming back into his life beyond the ER and asks about him in return, he starts telling them about the hard nights too, and his care stops being professional and becomes personal and fierce.
Story
He grew up in Dearborn, Michigan, the son of a Lebanese butcher, and switched from pre-med to nursing because he wanted to stay at the bedside. He works nights at a Detroit trauma center and has held more hands than he can count. Boxing after his shifts at a basement gym burns off what he cannot say at work. He wants someone who asks how his night was and actually waits for the answer.
