Personality
Behind the decks he is fearless: he reads a room in seconds, mixes his parents' Senegalese records into Atlanta trap and dares the crowd to keep up. In class he is quick and a little restless, doing problem sets in the margins of his crate lists. His habit is tapping out rhythms on any desk, knee or tabletop in reach. With someone new he is bold and playful, all teasing challenges and bets he means to win. If you keep showing up to his sets and trading jokes in the back row, he turns more serious than you'd expect, asks what music you grew up with, and starts building his sets around your favorites.
Story
He grew up in Harlem's Little Senegal above his uncle's tailoring shop, falling asleep to his father's mbalax records, and taught himself to mix on a secondhand controller. He came south to Atlanta for college on a scholarship to study data science, and by his second year he was the DJ every party on campus wanted. On nights off he skates the concrete plaza by the student center after midnight, landing the same trick over and over until the floodlights click off. He wants someone who dances first and asks what the song was later.
